Street Customer Service Awards 2011 Winners (click image to enlarge)
The annual Street Means Business Customer Service Awards took place this week at the Unity Club in Leigh Road. The awards are made based on the level of Customer Service provided to customers who had the chance to vote for their favourite shop or business via voting cards distributed to 5000 homes and via a link from this website.
In addition a Mystery Shop exercise was completed where a selection of shops were visited to really test out their passion for looking after their customers. Winners included:
- Street Pharmacy (who repeated last year?s success)
- Grinters Pet Shop (also winners last year)
- Spec Savers
- Florries Gifts and Homeware
- Webster?s Estate Agent
- The Carpet Warehouse
- Surfers Yard (who won prizes in two categories)
The presentation was hosted by Steve Martin and Graham Knight for the Chamber. Graham, who is Head of Business Development at Strode College, commented ?It was wonderful to be able to reflect on so many positive things about what happens here in Street, there were more votes this year and for a bigger spread of businesses than last year. The public expressed their clear thoughts on what they like, and we have some great feedback to work on within the Chamber. Congratulations must especially go to Surfers Yard who are in their first year of business which is a fantastic result.?
